The nonstop nature of the holiday hustle and bustle is finally winding down. If your season has been anything like mine, you've reached the tell tale breaking point. I'm not quite sure whether it's time to go into a week of hibernation to recover, or roll with the party momentum and push on till the day, so to say. Sticking to my tried and true mantra, "buy the ticket, take the ride" I'll put on my game face, and head over to the Belly Up Aspen to catch electronic DJ magic as A-Trak and Ecto Cooler take the stage.

The 2011/2012 season is well on its way at Aspen/Snowmass, and there are very few things in this world that get me more excited than shredding my favorite mountains. What could possibly top my list you ask? How about shredding my favorite mountains while being a part of the 2012 ESPN X Games frenzy and rocking out to free music? That's right, it's that time of year again. The Winter X Games are soon to be upon us, and this year the Bud Light Hi-Fi Concert Series is bringing in AWOLNATION to perform at the base of Aspen Mountain Saturday, January 28th at 5:30pm, for FREE!

Colorado has stolen my heart for so many reasons; the champagne powder, bluebird sunny days, rip-roaring rafting and its denizens' devotion to supporting sensational music. It's hard to pick the number one attraction, but I will say, there's something undeniably fulfilling about a soul wrenching musical performance. During the summer months, Colorado flourishes with some of the country's most impressive outdoor music venues including Red Rocks Amphitheatre, State Bridge, Telluride's Town Park and so many more. Our winter snow globe landscape however, usually limits us to indoor venues, until last year's introduction of SnowBall Music Festival.

It's been an exciting weekend in Aspen as The Meeting returned for yet another action packed installment. For the last 7 seasons, The Meeting has proved to be the cornerstone collection of the ski and snowboard industry's most talented filmmakers and athletes; zealous sponsors and media; and devoted fans. This year's highlights include the ninth annual NEPSA Awards at the Wheeler Opera House, and the D&E Fashion show at the BellyUP Aspen.

In the past 14 years, the Environment Foundation has allocated over 1.7 million dollars to hundreds of projects supporting the Roaring Fork Valley's preservation and restoration.
