Look, I get it. Aspen is money-ed and they boast a fierce après-ski lifestyle like that of Gstaad-ish. So, by all means go, have a series of cool events there. Ski your hearts out by day and drink hot toddies by the fireplace at night. I read this insight on Aspen's answer to Bryant Park at IMeanWhat.com

The Day Michael Jackson Died
"This was Bob Hope's turf. Frank Sinatra's. Sprio Agnew's. The lobby fairly reeked of high-grade formica and plastic palm trees - it was clearly a high-class refuge for Big Spenders."

The Food & Wine Classic in Aspen: An Exclusive Interview with Mario Batali
Yo. I really dig how you introduced Mario as "the Batali." It truly captures how much of a culinary beast he really is. Did you tell him I have his shoes? Anyway, the Food and Wine Classic sounds like a dream come true. Maybe next year we'll all be VIP. Make it happen.

Hunter Thompson: Aspen Enough!
Just a day after I posted an article saying what a clown Hunter Thompson was for all his drug fueled typing .... and how pathetic some mostly younger people were for romanticizing it ... the New York Times obliged with this article.

Coming Attractions: A Chit Chat with Electro-Super Duo Ratatat
Hey folks,
Last night's show on the snow was a real rager. I hope everyone that made it out had a blast, even with temperatures hoovering around 10 degrees. I talked to Evan and Mike backstage after the performance and they said they loved playing Aspen. They left almost immediately, headed to Idaho for a gig tonight.I tried to capture the show the best I could with my camera.
Til next time

Sam Bush Interview: Bluegrass at Base Village
Folks,
Hope ya'll enjoyed Sam Bush's throwdown, if you were able to make it out. It was a sick show. Pastor Mustard on the key lime strat was sweet. I talked to Sam after the show... he was happy the winter storm was able to hold off until after their set and that he didn't freeze those mandolin pickin' fingers off... He was stoked we'll get a powder day tomorrow and loved the crowd. Here's some photos for those of you experiencing the Aspen life vicariously...

KRABLOONIK
Thanks Ty,
Strange - the website snowmassvillage.com at this URL
http://www.snowmassvillage.com/krabloonik-restaurant-kennel
listed the restaurant as krabloonik.com. I looked for other references and there is not a single link for the Krabloonikrestaurant.com URL in Google. They should submit the right URL to Google to help people find them. Anyhow I appreciate the update. Thanks!
