The nonstop nature of the holiday hustle and bustle is finally winding down. If your season has been anything like mine, you've reached the tell tale breaking point. I'm not quite sure whether it's time to go into a week of hibernation to recover, or roll with the party momentum and push on till the day, so to say. Sticking to my tried and true mantra, "buy the ticket, take the ride" I'll put on my game face, and head over to the Belly Up Aspen to catch electronic DJ magic as A-Trak and Ecto Cooler take the stage.

If you're yet to catch a show at the exceptional Belly Up Aspen venue, there's no time like the present. The DJ showcase is set to electrify the crowd this Wednesday, January 4th at 9:00 pm. Let A-Trak and Ecto Cooler be the soundtrack to get 2012 started on the right foot. Montreal native, A-Trak aka Alain Macklovitch, boasts an impressive track record in the Club DJ scene commanding the stage at big named festivals like Coachella, as well as opening for the likes of Kanye West. He's created a sound all his own, saturated with hip-hop beats and electronic roots and he's turning out monster hits like the "Barbra Streisand" mix he created under his Canadian-American DJ duo, Duck Sauce.

And what's better than a DJ extraordinaire who promises a dance-aholic approved blowout? How about two DJs throwing the party? Straight out of Los Angeles, Ecto Cooler will be sure to get the crowd warmed up with his mix of house, electro & dubstep beats. I was lucky enough to stumble upon Ecto Cooler at a SnowBall Music Festival after party in Vail last year. His DJ set remains a stand out performance of the entire festival for me, keeping the momentum cranked up till the the club closed its doors.

So I know we're all a little run down after the holiday events of the past few weeks, but as someone once told me, no matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up. That being said, get you're tickets the Wednesday night's show at the Belly Up for a guaranteed great time. The show is 18+ with tickets costing $55.
