Sunset Skiing: More Sunlight Means Longer Ski Days!

Aspen, CO - The extra hours of daylight this April bring extended hours for skiers and riders. Sunset Skiing at Aspen/Snowmass this spring means varying lifts will be open and running till 6 p.m. or later on a handful of days at select mountains.

If you’ve never had the pleasure of catching the amazing views throughout the different stages of daylight, sunset skiing is an opportunity to take advantage of. Throughout the day, the sunshine highlights different faces and vistas across all four peaks, showcasing a mountain of breathtaking views. Whether you’re local to the area, or coming to catch the late season powder, the landscapes from the tops of these peaks never cease to leave you in awe of the rocky mountain magnificence.

Here’s the low down on the high up sunset experience:

Friday, April 1 – Snowmass – Lifts open until 6:30 p.m.Village Express, Big Burn, Coney Glade and the Snowmass Terrain Park will be open until 6:30 p.m. The Cirque will run until 6 p.m. conditions permitting. Sam’s Smokehouse will host a party from 3:30 – 6:30 p.m. and then the party will head down to Sneaky’s Tavern in Snowmass Base Village. The event theme is April Fool’s Day Luau.

Friday, April 8 – Aspen Mountain – Silver Queen Gondola open until 6 p.m. Lift served skiing/riding will continue until 6 p.m. and the party continues with the Sundeck Moonlight Dinner, featuring dinner and drink specials and live music starting at 5:30 p.m. The last download is at 9:30 p.m.

Saturday, April 16 – Aspen Highlands – Lifts open until 6:30 p.m. Exhibition and Loge lifts will be open until 6:30 p.m. and Highland Bowl will be open until 5 p.m. The Merry-Go-Round will be open until 6:30 p.m.

Pricing: You have multiple ticket options to take advantage of the extended hours. Regular ticketing pricing applies for Sunset Skiing and all valid passes will work during extended hours.Partial day tickets (starting at noon) are $74 for Adult, Youth and Senior tickets and are $51 for children. Late arrival tickets (starting at 2:30 p.m.) are $44 for all ages. Foot passenger tickets can be bought for those not skiing at $27 for Adults, $21 for Youth/Seniors and $15 for children.
