If you're craving something new and exciting in the musical sector of your life, don't miss the opportunity to check out Rubblebucket at the notoriously crowd-pleasing venue, The Belly Up Aspen. The Brooklyn, NY based band will pass through Aspen on Sunday, October 23, 2011 on their Fall Tour for a 9:30 p.m. free show.

This eight-piece indie expo is well deserving of the attention they've been stirring up. This extremely promising band pushes the indie-pop envelope, mixing afro-beat inspired horns, the intoxicatingly haunting vocals of lead singer, Kalmia Traver and a variety of indie-inspired melodies.

When I was first introduced to this band, I thought someone threw Fela Kuti, Animal Collective and Dirty Projectors into a blender, and came out with an entirely new sound composed of the best of all their elements. Listening to their music is a sensual experience. It transcends the auditory world taking the listener to a deeper level of involvement with the music. Rubblebucket’s sound flows through your body with a sound so rich, you can visualize it with your eyes closed.

Rubblebucket’s Fall Tour will showcase their second studio album, Omega La La produced by Eric Broucek, who’s worked with such notables as LCD Soundsystem and !!!. Wind your weekend down right this Sunday night, and swing through the Belly Up Aspen. For more information, Check out the following resources:
