Since its genesis in 1998, the foundation has donated and directed $1.7 million to 341 projects. The roots of this foundation resonate deeply within the Aspen Skiing Company community. The Foundation boasts generous contributions from the Aspen Community Foundation, Aspen Company's Family Fund, the Aspen Skiing Company, and impressively equal, the company's employees; contributing a high-minded donation of $40,000.

Outside grants have also assisted in the grand total. This April, Green Mountain Coffee Roaster, have generously donated $12,000 to the cause to further their commitment to improving the environment, and communities in which they operate.

The delegation of funds to the different projects is decided upon by the 15-member board of directors, made up of ASC employees. The wide variety of sponsored projects serve the area's varying environmental needs.
