ASPEN, CO - So once again the Fall is upon us and with it comes the eye candy that many of us look forward to all year long! I'm a fan of sensory overload and this is the time of year that my eyes get their fix!
Being that I'm originally from the Northeast I was blessed with visually stunning colors coming from all directions this time of year! I remember hearing people talk about Vermont and how folks flocked to the state for the Fall colors but I never felt as though I was missing anything because New York trees filled my eyes with vibrant colors every year without disappointment.
And so bringing the focus back to the "high country", I must admit that I am incredibly grateful for the fact that a Fall in Colorado offers our eyes spectacular visions of yellow, orange and red colored foliage as well!
During these past 16 years of living high in the Rockies I have most certainly taken the opportunity to hit the road and let my eyes take in what Mother Nature has painted for us. Just about every direction offers one the opportunity to take a roll down a colorful lane. Yesterday I opted to take in the sights that Vail had to offer. I drove down towards the Betty Ford Gardens and was blown away by the almost blinding yellow leaves on the Aspen trees! It was just what I had been hoping for! The Gore Range looking at me... the bright aspens beaming at me... I almost passed out in Autumn bliss!
