Aspen, CO - A change up in an organizations creative flow often means big things. Aspen Skiing Company is one of the most prestigious and recognizable brands in the world, and it just got itself a new VP of Marketing, Mr. Christian Knapp. The organization is excited about the new team member, and what he's capable of for the organization.

“Christian comes with a wealth of experience, energy and enthusiasm,” said David Perry, senior vice president, Aspen Skiing Company. “His accomplishments include a highly successful career with Vail Resorts, most recently holding the top Marketing post as Senior Brand Director at Keystone, with prior terms at Beaver Creek, Vail and Breckenridge. We are excited to have him on our team.”

As far as accolades are concerned, Knapp's added quite a few notches on his belt since the start of his career in 1996. Receiving the SAMMY Award at the most recent National Ski Areas Association in San Diego, Knapp was honored as a future leader in the ski industry for his commitment to the ski industry; serving his trade and its enthusiasts for over 15 years. He's been a critical player in his previous organizations success, executing events like the Vans Triple Crown of Snowboarding, Superpark, Cutter’s Cup and setting up Breckenridge’s first Freeride Team.

Knapp proved his strategic importance to the industry when he moved to Vail Mountain to head up marketing efforts, in turn implementing the hugelly successful Spring Back to Vail end-of-season party. Soon after, he took on brand management for Beaver Creek, and was then promoted to spearhead marketing of Keystone Resort. Knapp rose to the challenging of realigning to entire face of Keystone, successfully, to a family friendly ski hub.

To date, the accredited Christian Knapp has proven to this industry that his forward thinking ideas, and experience in the industry improve the overall experience both internally and externally in his organization. We would expect his presence at Aspen Skiing Company to follow suit, and I know I'll be keeping my eye out for exciting changes for the upcoming season.
